Care & Materials
At Illuma & Ember, every piece is handcrafted in small batches using fine acrylics, metal accents, and gemstones. Our designs are meant to be lasting keepsakes—modern heirlooms born from light and fire.
Acrylic Pieces
Our handbags, trays, and decorative objects are made from premium cast acrylic made right here in America.
Wipe clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth.
Avoid alcohol, acetone, and household cleaners—these can cloud or crack the surface.
Keep away from high heat or open flame.
To restore shine, gently buff with a soft cloth or plastic-safe polish such as Novus 2.
Jewelry & Hardware
All metal components are selected for durability and tone harmony.
Our earrings are made with gold-plated stainless steel or brass components that comply with EU Nickel Directive 94/27/EC safety standards for pierced jewelry (nickel release below 0.2 µg/cm² per week).
They are nickel–, lead–, and cadmium–free, making them safe for most skin sensitivities and compliant with both EU and US consumer safety guidelines.
To keep your jewelry looking its best: Handle each piece with the same care it was made with. A mindful routine will help preserve its finish and tone for years to come.
Remove before showering or swimming.
Avoid perfumes, lotions, or sprays near the metal finish.
Store in its box or a soft pouch to prevent scratching.
Stone & Inlay Work
Some pieces feature hand-painted or inlaid finishes inspired by ancient materials like lapis and gold.
Handle delicately to avoid chipping or lifting at the edges.
Clean only with a soft, dry cloth—no moisture or solvents.
Candle & Heat Use
Our acrylic trays are safe for candles placed in glass jars, but avoid burning candles down to the bottom of the vessel. For extra protection, use a coaster or insert beneath the candle.
Storage & Longevity
Keep your pieces in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight. Treat them as you would fine lacquered decor—handled with care, they will last for years.
